Oh man. These are the most well-timed photos we’ve seen in a long time. Time has recently released a video of Donald Trump from a photoshoot earlier this year. And it’s not just any old video: it involves Donald Trump being attacked by a bald eagle. Yep. We’re serious. The national bird of America makes a swipe for Trump’s hand and toupee. This is the same guy that earlier this week caused a furore with controversial plans to ban Muslims from the U.S. God bless that eagle.
While the video itself is only one-minute long, its very existence is an absolute blessing. Because it has given birth to a whole range of gifs and stills just begging to become staple internet memes.
At one point, the bald eagle, a 27-year-old bird called Uncle Sam (obviously), even makes a bid for freedom. Not that we blame him. But he does it in the most elegant way ever, swooping in towards Trump’s famous toupee. You can pretty much hear Uncle Sam squawking “Let me at him!”
As the eagle settles down, all Trump is concerned about is his hair. The eagle handler then attempts to smooth his hair back down, singlehandedly giving his employers a good reason for a big Christmas bonus this year.
It doesn’t improve when the photoshoot moves to a desk. Despite Trump’s efforts to look powerful and in control, it only takes a few flutters of Uncle Sam’s wings to get him running for cover.

The photoshoot was as part of Time’s Person of the Year 2015 spread, where Donald Trump was named runner-up. Angela Merkel, of course, was awarded the main title. Now, we now it’s a bit unsportsmanlike, but we reckon it’s only fair, under the circumstances, that they make a few changes. Anyone up for replacing Merkel with Uncle Sam? Anyone?
